(I'm going to substitute [ for ( and ) for ] in this entry).

Most of you are aware of the (break) feature in Tabulas. We've extended the functionality of the feature to include mid-entry snippets as well as your own customized tag (instead of Read More).

In this entry, I'm going to do the following:
Hello, world! (break=Do you wanna read more?)test(/break)
Note that you must surround the text with the close break tag! (/break)
And it comes out like this:

Hello, world!

test

roy, you're planning to do something with the comment thingy, right? (1 comment, 2 comments, etc?)

Not sure... that's yet ANOTHER option to add into styles... doesn't that seem like a bit overload ;)

but we'll see.

Hrm, do we only use the close tag if we're using it for mid-entries snippets (endbreak before the entry ends), or for all entries (break for whole entry)? Just to clarify, because I don't want to accidentally screw up something on my Tabulas :x it's too precious!

You either choose to do a mid-entry snippet and close the tags OR you just do the [break] tag.

Why doesn't my tagboard want to show up on my tabulas? :S

Since you're using a custom template, you gotta put in the HTML manually.

I'm getting a very strange error. I tried to edit a post that I made earlier this morning, and when I hit "post" all the text from the entry was lost and all that shows up is [break=].

The same thing happens when I try to make a new post. My entry just shows up as [break=]

Are you trying to type something special in there? What is the entry you're trying to input?

the entry link I posted was just the word "testing"

take a look at some of the other most recent entries from tabulas.com. other people are having the same problem

You're just using img tags and it's not working?
Comment posted on October 2nd, 2003 at 03:54 PM

When I read this from my friends page and clicked the custom break link, it directed itself to my journal, and not the tabulas one.
Strangely enough, though, even though it said the entry didn't exist, all the comments that have been posted here showed up...

Problem should be fixed.

yay! customizable break tag! works great, thanks. =)

Tag customization works, but as for being mid-entry, you can put it in the middle but it still places the cut content at the end of the entry. See my tabulas for an example.
