Here's a list of items that were fixed over the past 12 hours:

  • Hit logging for patron accounts turned back on
  • Login logic made consistent - my.tabulas.com uses the same code as www.tabulas.com now, so that weird issue where sometimes you'd be logged in on one or the other is fixed
  • I've changed the categories/archives view to the full-text versions that everybody enjoys so much
  • To help search engines, I've started explicitly defining the meta tag for robots explicitly on aggregation pages - these include the category and archive views - the goal is that google indexes your homepage and your specific entry, but no other pages that contains your entries
  • Fixed font issue for navbar and broken favicons
  • Fixed missing moods
  • Added back the missing "Add ___ as a friend" link

sir i discovered another problem. i asked you about the <!--ENTRY['USERNAME']--> issue, remember? it worked but when i click it it does not go where it is supposed to go, it just reloads my page instead of going to the user which it specifies. whats wrong?

i tried doing this <a href="www.tabulas.com/~<!--ENTRY['USERNAME']-->"><!--ENTRY['USERNAME']--></a>
but it does not work and it displays the <!--ENTRY['USERNAME']--> twice on my "posted by:" field.

<!--ENTRY['USERNAME']--> returns the whole link with the username, not just the username; you don't need to do the <a href=""> part.

also, you shouldn't be linking to www.tabulas.com/~username anymore; use http://username.tabulas.com.

Roy, I am able to view my hit logging now, thanks! Another prob, my entries are giving a different date e.g. I published an article on Sept 2 but it reflects Aug 28. I have 2 entries (most recent) that has this problem.

Seems like my page is down again in Firefox. Fine in IE 6. I've already check the doctype in the template I'm using and have adjusted it using your own templates as guidelines. I've also cleaned up my links but still, my page doesn't load up.

Any idea what could be wrong? The template, and the blog, was working fine before the changes.

Switch to a default template - does it still cause these issues?

Yep. Firefox still can't access it even with a default template (Apollo - Tan).

Oh. And I keep getting logged out of my own blog on IE6 too.

Do you by chance know if you're behind a proxy to reach the internet?
Comment posted on September 4th, 2007 at 01:52 AM
Firefox doesn't use a proxy, but IE 6 does (I needed to set IE6 to use a proxy for one of my programs).

Interesting. Would you mind emailing me at royikim@gmail.com? I have a bunch of instructions which will help me figure out the problems, but it'll require some work on your end :(
