Subdomains and underscores

It looks like underscores in subdomains can fail for some ISPs. For that reason, I've automatically switched over all underscores to dashes in the URL. If your Tabulas username is John_Doe, your subdomain will be http://john-doe.tabulas.com.

i have a problem here actually..
how do i stop spammers from posting unwanted comments on my tagboard..?
please help.
it's annoying and it has happened several times already..

I might sound really stupid here.. will my link/web address change as well? would I still have to update my old links with the underscores as well or will it be redirected immediately?
