Oh yes, the attaching of images to entries doesnt work for me (on my sister's comp too)...is it a bug? Coz I think it works on Roy's blog (Are you roy? hehe :P) but i'm not sure whether it's just an embedded image :)

I'm not really sure why you're having all these weird problems ... when you select "attach image," you will get a button on the next screen; it doesn't work?

I've got one really big problem here...I think it's my browser problem but I'm not exactly sure. You see, for features like within the gallery for example, where you have to choose an option from a drop-down menu, it just doesnt work for me. This also applies for the BBCodes when writing entries (the buttons and display dont work) and for changing the time manually. (In fact, the changing of time manually doesnt work even when i tried it on my sister's puter...as in it still displays the EST time). Any idea how i can fix this problem and whats causing it in the first place? I'm on IE 5.0. OS is Win 98.

The Java problem is fixed now as i said..it's just the time. I CAN change the time on the entry page but it doesnt show up in the journal. It still shows the EST timing. I want it to reflect local time..not EST. Same for the tagboard...how can i do this man?
Comment posted on April 6th, 2003 at 01:05 AM
There is no support for non-EST time. All times are in EST.

Hmm I notice the time change actually DOES work on the Default template but not on the other template (cant remember what it's called)..so maybe the error lies there?

I think I found a bug...
When I try and delete comments, it always gives me this error:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: thread() in /home/virtual/site170/fst/var/www/html/private/edit_entry.php on line 426

Any idea why?

I cant change my site colours for some reason. Can someone help me out with this? Also, for some reason, in the drop down menus, nothing happens when I click something (Edit Colours for example). I know it's a glitch on my part but any idea on how I can rectify this problem?

Also, will there be more templates and styles than currently?

Other than that, good job! :)

Any "changes" you make in terms of site styles need to be enabled. go to "edit colors" and "use on site" on the dropdown menu for the stylesheet.

Wow, sounds great! Just a question. I noticed that in my profile page I'm listed as a "Free User" and not as "Beta Tester". Does this mean that my account will not have the privileges of a Beta tester's? Or do I have to do something?
Just a Q..
Comment posted on April 3rd, 2003 at 09:14 PM
Unfortunately there are only about 100 "beta" accounts. The rest are sadly only normal free accounts:(

Only 100 beta accounts =/ Oh man...that sucks =/ Could you please make exceptions for Nirwan (de_absolutezero) and myself? =) Also, what's the difference between a Beta tester and a Free User? I know you mentioned that Beta tester would be like a Paid account..so how much of the final release features would Free Users get? Maybe we could all be beta testers? :P
Comment posted on April 4th, 2003 at 02:51 AM
Oh, I was under the impression that there are 200 beta accounts. Will the features that are currently available now still be open to us free users when the final release comes about?
My Gallery is still not working. No image comes out in both my main site as well as in the admin panel. OS is Win2000 and browser is Mozilla 1.3
Hope this problem gets fixed soon, thanks. Great job so far.. Can't wait to see the prerelease :)

Even in IE, the images don't show up. I can't use IE much because I can never upload images, post entries or update my style settings through IE.. There will always be some error or time-out, but I think it's because of the program. So I use Mozilla to post and upload images, but the images don't appear :(
Comment posted on April 5th, 2003 at 03:02 AM
No, the problem is not in the display. For some reason, Mozilla (or whatever browser you're using) isn't sending the complete image data when you upload. If you look at the HTML source code, you'll notice the .jpg extension is missing. Simply add the jpg to the filename and you have no problems with this.

Try attaching an image via IE; not just viewing.
Comment posted on April 5th, 2003 at 03:17 AM
Yes, you're right.. The .jpeg is not showing up in the source. Guess that's a fault of Mozilla.. But IE will always give an error message "The page cannot be found" whenever I try to upload images. It happens when I try to submit a post as well

Are you accepting cookies? Behind any firewalls?

This seems to be limited to your end ... haven't noticed too many people having that problem.
Comment posted on April 6th, 2003 at 02:28 AM
Yup.. Cookies enabled, using ZoneAlarm software firewall and I'm using a router to connect to the Internet. But I don't think the router is the problem, because my sister can upload images without any problems... I'll try to upload images without using Zonealarm.

Worse to comes to worst, I'll just upload images from my sister's computer.. Thanks ofr the help thus far, tho...
