The styling system that Tabulas was built on is incredibly unstable and ... well... crappy. I will be implementing some standardization across the templates used on Tabulas (if you're HTML knowledgeable, you'll notice there is no consistency for style classes in the CSS files).

This means anyone who has CREATED THEIR OWN TABULAS STYLE using one of our own templates, NOT people who have created their own templates, will have to recreate their styles once I fix up the styling system.

This will probably occur this weekend. Please post questions here ...

Thanks!

P.S. If you're using your own template, please be considerate and add the navbar command right after your body tag. I will soon be making this a requirement ...

i added the ! tag into my site, i was actually wondering how to do that, it's not posted anywhere else is it? it would be nice if it could be customised though, because it looks kinda ugly on sites with colorful schemes

non styling comment since you aren't on aim:
when you edit a post your music selection disapears and you have to retype it in or you lose it after the edit.

is it possible for you to add the option of letting those folks enter their email address and website links along with their comments?

The time is off by one hour. Its an hour behind.

Right now by my clock its 3:57, but -7 Hours from GMT says 2:57.

You're obviously -6GMT.

No, I'm Mountain Time, -7.

Mountain time will vary due to daylights savings. During Daylights Savingts (MST), you will be GMT -6, not GMT -7.

just a thought - might be cool if you could adjust the way entries themselves are displayed like they are with paid livejournal or blurty.com accounts...you have codes for each part of the journals (ie currents, date, posted by, the entry itself...) like in blurty, it's things like %%entry%% . but i've left blurty because the system is so damn confusing!! although i got a free paid account because i was among the first to join...anyway, that would make tabulas a tad more customizable and kickass. just a thought!

Yes, entry customization is something I've been meaning to do. It'll work exactly the same way customizing your templates works (use ). I'll probably get to it this weekend.

i would like to suggest tat there is a lock and unlock blog system.. where unwanted visitors would not be able to view entries on one particular user... only friends or tabulas members(options on who they want to allow viewing)are allowed to view the blog when they enter their passwords ..... if wrong passwords or username is entered... they will not be able to view... maybe u can think about this suggestion.. thanx.... :)

that's the friends-only posts... make your posts friends-only. then add tabulas users to your friends list. then they have to log-in to view your entries.

uhm, is there any specific reason the site title has a maximum of only 25 characters? now my site title is short two letters. :(
Comment posted on May 21st, 2003 at 09:11 AM
25 characters is a lot ... i'll boost it to 50 soon then.
Comment posted on May 23rd, 2003 at 04:01 AM
thanks. :) although i think 30 or maybe 35 will be enough. unless somebody else complains.

sorry to keep bugging you on this, but i figured it slipped your mind. any chance of a few extra characters in the title soon? :)

All I ask is that you keep tabulas as fully customizable as it is. ;) It's the only reason I've settled here...I have the flexibility to do what I want to my own site...i can integrate it with my own site or make it look great as a stand alone thing. Not too much to ask I hope!

Nope, the only changes are in the template themselves; I'm just simply trying to standardize which CSS classes I use on which templates. If anything this'll help in the customization!
