There is now a new function under your "Entries" tab that is entitled Search Entries. As self-evident, this allows you to search your previous entries so you can quickly locate entries of interest.

Unfortunately, this is a high CPU-usage feature and much like hit logging is restricted only to paid users.

Extra features for the search:
The search engine will keep track of your queries and will remember what entry you picked to visit. This is for when you tend to search for the same stuff over and over again ... it'll remember what entry you picked with high frequency and display it first (with a 'r' for recommended). Try a search and click through an entry ... then search for the same phrase again.

Your search can also be limited to a month. Note that you cannot search for just a month - a month and year must be selected.

If you're taking advantage of our multiple-user groups (which lets you run multiple accounts with ease), you'll notice a dropdown next to the search that list all accounts linked to yours. You can search the entries of all your accounts or just one.

Let us know if there are any bugs!

Edit:
I think we've fixed up the bug with custom entry outputs not displaying the "music/mood/book" of the moments. Please let us know for sure.

roy dear.... problem again... (I seem to like to burden you didn't I?)

I have created a content page, but the list won't show in my template.
Template ID: 983

I did add the <!--contentroll--> part in that template.

I did check that post and I already added it in my template, but nothing show up, just like the mood/book/music thing the other day (it worked great now, though!)

You've done a very good job!

I'm looking at the database, and you haven't added the two commands into your Styles tab page. You need to add those two commands within the styles tab page itself...

Are there still beta accounts left? I knew there were only 45 a few days ago. Also, could you point me to the thread that discusses what happens if someone goes to paid then doesn't renew the following year? Thanks much.
Comment posted on September 19th, 2003 at 12:14 AM
Yes, a few. If you do not renew, your status will go back to free user.

I wanted to send you $28 via paypal, but nowhere is there a place to enter my user name which is monkeyone. What should I do? I have a tagboard if you want to answer there and I'll also look for a reply here.

Sorry for being so noisy, but, where should I change the
Currently feel
Music of the moment
and
Book of the moment
to another words?
Comment posted on September 18th, 2003 at 10:17 AM
You cannot yet.

thanks roy! how bout this idea:
like my mood is bored, the only one to be displayed with <!--mood--> is only the word bored instead of currently feeling bored with the extra <br /> tag. Oh, yes, how to turn off the automatic <br /> in my entries? I'm so demanding *LOL*

SUGGESTION:

How about a "Who's on your page?" section? It'll list the number of registered and unregistered users on your page. You might want to have a privacy toggle that allows users choose whether to display their online status.
Comment posted on September 18th, 2003 at 10:19 AM
No, that is much too much of an invasion of privacy... plus I don't see the real purpose of it. Hit logging serves that purpose well enough :)

BUG:

I currently have 0 entries. I search for "test", and it correctly displays that 0 entries were found. I then try to search for the same term again ("test"), and it outputs the following:

Searching...
Your query has turned up 0 results.

Hey I tested out the custom entry outputs. The music/mood/book is working fine. :)

Web Standard? It's the standard of creating web pages. Created by the W3C consortium. www.webstandards.org

You use table for your layouting, that's against the webstandards ;)

I'm having a problem while editing the entry format, I don't seem to be able to add my mood, books that I'm reading, and songs that I'm listening to.

I'm sorry if I don't write it clearly.
Comment posted on September 18th, 2003 at 10:18 AM
Actually, tables are not against layoutting. You have an overly protective view of standards ... as long as I continue writing in HTML 4.0 Strict/Transitional or XHTML 1.0 Transitional, it is considered "web standards."

Tables are still very very useful (albeit my use across this site right now is more of a placeholder).
Comment posted on September 18th, 2003 at 08:50 PM
Tables are not against layouting indeed, but it is adviseable to layout a webpage not with table. Alas, table will still be supported forever for displaying data.

Actually, the DTD format this far is useful only to validate your HTML page ;)

Yep, tables are useful in some manners ^^;

tables are good but css is more flexible. i'm converting to pure css. it should be under development. hopefully css2 will soon prevail.

Great function... I haven't try it though.

ey, can you tell me how to show those mood, book, and music in my place? I did add <!--mood--><!--book--><!--music--> to my entry format, but somehow it won't work.

Template ID: 983
Entry Format ID: 590

I want to use Web Standard in my page, but your system doesn't support it yet. (Talking about the logged in as ephi table everytime I'm still logged in)
Comment posted on September 18th, 2003 at 12:20 AM
It still doesn't work? I should of just fixed it.

I don't understand your Web Standard question. Are you talking about the gray bar on top?

btw is there a way to monitor the entries add to a blogring?!!! some of the entries are rather inappropriate is there a way that every entry submitted needs to be approved by the owner first? i think it will be a useful feature.

Oops. Try hitting "Enable Hit Logging" under styles to get hit logging to go...
