Your RSS feeds have been moved. We will continue to update your feeds at http://www.tabulas.com/rss/username.rss (case sensitive depending on how you format your username) for another week... but after that week we will discontinue those RSS feeds.

The new location for your RSS feeds are: http://xml.tabulets.com/rss/username.rss (username is ALL lowercase regardless of the way you format your username)

These RSS feeds have gone active starting now ... so use either one or the other, but please migrate to the xml.tabulets.com site.

The purpose of this move is to separate the servers in which the database, Tabulas, and XML data is stored. As we slowly begin to offer more services that are more varied, we do not want to put all our eggs in one basket - by offloading separate services onto separate servers, we can ensure better operation =).

(View Tabulas' RSS feed!)

Thanks!

ok i'm back with another annoying suggestion.. is it possible to exclude certain urls in your referrals? i mean i get a lot of referrals from my own webpages. i am not really interested in those.

n/m.. i didn't realize they are in the detailed logging.

suggestion: do you think you can add referrals to tabulas? maybe the latest 500 referrals or something. i always love to click on my referrals.

Tabulas, please make some how a button where you can click and delete your account. Please? Like 'I would not want Tabulas services any longer' I want to delete an unused account. I am paranoid that way.

We do not offer a delete account feature ... just rename your username to another name and change your email. And then forget about your account :)

not sure why but my "friends of" (which i think should be friend of) page has been down for two days now? it says "There are no entries for this time period."

also, i went to check on the archives and saw that even if i am logged in, only the public entries show up

Oh, one more thing...
Statistics... doesn't have to be overkill, just want to know if anybody have read my posts...

If I had access to API's or similar I could make hacks for you, but if you want to make this a source of income--releasing the source wouldn't be the best way of achieving that.
Comment posted on September 27th, 2003 at 11:35 AM
There are statistics for paid-only users. For paid users, you can track day-by-day hit values as well as extended information about your visitors (IP, visit date, where they came from).

The idea for Tabulas is to eventually make the whole thing well-documented so people can indeed make hacks for it... but right now I'm more worried about creating a good foundation. And making some money to help cover off server costs.

Right now I'm working on full XML syndication for all data so you can build your own end-scripts (maybe some sort of stand-alone blogging script) that you could run on your server while leaving the administrative and database work with Tabulas.

Oh, another thing...
Forums...
Great invetion, and I'm not meaning that every user should have a few... just a couple ones for feedback and assistance, help with CSS and other things. Doesn't have to be hosted on Tab.

I'm launching forums soon... still installing and figuring out which ones I want =)

Well, Tabulas guy... you've got something going here ;-)

My wishlist:
1. Ability to have Advanced editmode by default.
2. Ability to edit more information avbout shared journals.
3. Better editor.

That's it.

btw, any positions open for "I-code-for-food"? ;-P

1.) Go to Entry Options
2.) Edit more info? Like what?
3.) Better editor?

Sorry about fuzzyness, but I'm visiting my parents, have had my share of beer ;-)

1. Thanks

2. I've made a sweTabbers shared journal (http://www.tabulas.com/blogrings/sweTabbers) for Tabulas users from Sweden, i'd like to share information about that you "have" to be from Sweden to join, but that you don't have to have your Tab in Swedish.

3. Better editor, well there's alot of stuff missing, but then you have to choose on how much to add before it become too much IE dependant (shitty browser, but there's alot of spiffyness that you can add).

Example, If I add the word "Spacewaster" and mark the word (double click the word) nothing happens in IE 5.

I'll look into #2

I'm still don't understand what you mean by better editor. Are you talking about the ability to bold and italicize text within the textarea?

If so, this is an IE-only feature; we *did* have it in earlier versions of Tabulas but I scrapped it because it was crap. ;)

hey just like to ask.. why is the color schemes not like before where i could actually edit it again n again...
Comment posted on September 27th, 2003 at 10:18 AM
What do you mean? I can edit my stylesheets fine ...
Comment posted on September 26th, 2003 at 10:58 PM
I think we should be able to edit comments.
Comment posted on September 27th, 2003 at 11:32 AM
No, this is one of the few abilities that I did not put in on purpose. Editing comments can lead too much to "retractions" of comments of such. Furthermore, when you comment, you comment in someone else's journal ... and the power to edit/delete lies with that owner. It has to do with who 'owns' the comments. In my opinion, it's the journal owner.

I know it's stupid for things like typos and such ... but still... ;)

Not really.. that just creates unnecessary overhead on the server IMHO.

First off I love tabulas so far! Secondly, I'm thinking of getting a paid account. If I do how fast could I start using the service?
Comment posted on September 26th, 2003 at 07:23 PM
Well as soon as you pay, fire off an e-mail to the e-mail addy listed with the PayPal account ... then I'll set you up ASAP =) It's usually a fast turnaround... even faster tonight since I'm staying in and working (and thus will be leaving my e-mail on). :)
