We've put up the community search page; you can search for communities and view all communities that have been created on Tabulas.

Note that this feature is available to ALL users ... this is a rather rough cut, so please let us know of any bugs or additional features you'd like to see on this site.

hi, roy, great job!! i am new to tabulas and i just wondered how come despite not checking the option to prevent crawling, i still cannot find my page on google. what should i do to allow crawling? thank you
Comment posted on September 27th, 2004 at 01:41 AM
how about, a way to search or go thru your entries on the control panel instead of always going through 'forward 25 entries' or 'backward 25 entries', which is actually quite tedious for pple like me who write more than 1 entry a day! then when i want to go back to an entry a year ago i get quite frustrated...

Sweet, I want to delete a post but can\'t find it, like the above suggestion, I would prefer if I can have an edit button on the page of the blog post as well as access from the cp.

The comunity search so as the friend search on tabulas is rather hard to use. Wait, is there even a friend search on tabulas? Tabulas should take a look at how xanga.com sets it up. Make it as if it is a replica of xanga

hey, i was wondering how you change the template to your community. thanks.
Comment posted on August 15th, 2004 at 04:14 AM
just a quick suggestion: a \"edit this\" link next to posts after you logged in will be extremely handy!
Comment posted on August 15th, 2004 at 07:22 AM
Huh? There are links already along the left bar as well as the control panel \'edit entry\' page?
Comment posted on August 15th, 2004 at 10:55 AM
oh i see what you mean by left bar now. but it\'s still in your cp. i\'m talking about something like wordpress if you know what i mean.. there\'s a link \"edit this\" next to individual blog post ON YOUR BLOG PAGE if you are logged in. you know then you can just edit something with one click while you are browsing.
Comment posted on August 16th, 2004 at 08:06 AM
Ah, I see what you\'re saying. This was intentionally left out; I believe in keeping the display engine separate from the control panel; all \"administering\" should be done from the CP. A feature or a bug? ;)
Comment posted on August 15th, 2004 at 10:52 AM
left bar? unless i didn\'t do the template correctly.. i don\'t see editing link for the individual post on your main blog page. i know about the edit entry page.. before it\'s a few more clicks away.

Can you help me further? Is tabulas having trouble with Mozilla browser maybe? Hmmmm I just don\'t know. Thank you kindly for all your help.

Oops. I fixed that problem; try getting your info sent again; it should send you the password as well.

Mozilla would not cause a problem; I use FireFox to access Tabulas, and I have no problem. s

If you don\'t want it to go down all the time, get a paid account. Support the broke college student!

I submitted payment through PayPal for 6 months, and got an email back from PayPal saying it worked. I\'m not exactly sure what \"<b>Once you submit payment via PayPal, please send an e-mail to the e-mail listed as the owner of the PayPal account with your username on Tabulas... thanks!</b>\" is trying to tell me to do. Any help is appreciated.

The email address listed as the owner of the PayPal account is Vcotton@aol.com, and my personal address is VashPiggy@cox.net. Thanks in advance.

Ignore that, I got an email asking for my username. Sorry for the confusion. ^^;

Tabulas is the best journaling site ever!
Comment posted on August 11th, 2004 at 07:04 PM
Hi! I think you do a wonderful job with Tabulas because it truly is the BEST journaling program I\'ve ever used online (and i\'ve tried quite a lot of them). However, can I just send you a donation of like, $20 via snail mail? I\'m not comfortable using paypal (never paid anything online before).
Comment posted on August 12th, 2004 at 08:50 AM
Certainly! :)

You can send a check to upgrade your account as well... if you wish. Just be sure to leave a note to let me know what account to upgrade.

* Inserting the various commands, like ! doesn\'t work.

how do you get the grey bar back on your tabulas? i dont know how, and they are going to disable my account if i dont figure it out. please help.

no disrespect to you, but i\'ve noticed that the last 50(as i can see) documentation status requests have not been reviewed....

that is why i feel like i need to put it on your attention. although some people actually used it for technical issues, i still belive that there are some people who knew the purpose and know how to use the \'documentation requests\' on the help.tabulas.com.

pardon me but i wanted to put my documentaion request here.

Documentation request made on August 10th, 2004:
hello! is it possible to change the \"earlier\" & \"later\" links for the archives? i was trying to see if i could change it through the template, but unfortunately i wasn\'t able to get any information about it. if it\'s not possible, it\'s just my opinion that maybe we should make it \"previous\" & \"next.\" if this is not a good idea, i will be glad to hear from you and and your opinion. thank you.
Request status: Not yet reviewed by administrator

my apologies & thanks again.
Comment posted on August 10th, 2004 at 06:50 AM
Wow you\'re absolutely right. I completely forgot about the documentation thing on the help site. The answer to your question: There is nothing that can be done, YET. But you will be able to change it in the upcoming 2.0 version.
Comment posted on August 10th, 2004 at 08:33 AM
thanks roy! although it\'s kinda annoying on your part most of those documentation request were actually \"help\" issues from the members. are the 2.0v availabale for everybody or just paid accounts?
Comment posted on August 11th, 2004 at 01:29 AM
Tabulas 2.0 is for everybody; it\'s a total revamping of the whole system in general. i\'ve been uploading it in increments (user dir, community search, front page) ... the help center will be the last section to go up, since the new cP will be different from the old one and will require separate documentation.

ROY! I DONT KNOW HOW TO GET THE GREY BAR BACK.. :( DONT SUSPEND ME... HELP ME GET IT BACK.. PLEASE.
Comment posted on August 9th, 2004 at 09:59 AM
well you should get rid of something else so i can find people on here because i have no friends.
Comment posted on August 9th, 2004 at 06:57 PM
So it becomes my responsibility to start paying more money out of my pocket because you don\'t have any friends? What twisted reasoning.

Please do not disable your grey bar on your Tabulas; I will suspend your account within 24 hours if I do not see it placed back on top (this is in our terms of service).

it\'s dumb that you have to be a paid member to look through the user directory.
Comment posted on August 9th, 2004 at 02:21 AM
It\'s dumb that you demand free features without realizing that the money ends up coming out of my pocket.

hello. i\'ve created a custom design that requires the use of iframes for the blog entry. i\'d like to have all the pages (the main html page, an about page, a place for shoutbox and the page with blog entries) all on tabulas.

how do i do this? i\'ve tried to use the content pages feature but it doesnt work; it uses the default template.

please help, i\'ve tried the help pages, nothing there.

to sum up: i\'d like to know if i could disable templating.
Comment posted on August 9th, 2004 at 07:45 AM
Nope.

hi roy, i found my tabulas on google although i\'ve checked the \"Prevent search engine robots from crawling my Tabulas\" box.

what\'s going on? i seriously want to keep it private. thanks.
Comment posted on August 8th, 2004 at 04:38 AM
You removed the metatags command from your template, so Tabulas can\'t put in the command to tell Google not to crawl your site. Put it back in.
Comment posted on August 8th, 2004 at 06:16 AM
thanks roy. erm.. but how do i do that? i used a template which i downloaded and i don\'t know how to edit the script. can you tell me what the script is?

thanks so much once again. :)
Comment posted on August 9th, 2004 at 02:25 AM
Add <!--metatags--> between <head> and </head> in your HTML template.

suggestions: how about sort by # of members or date last updated in ascending or descending order? :)
Comment posted on August 7th, 2004 at 05:08 PM
and a menu search by letter perhaps? scrolling by numbers/pages can be an hassle and..well it can also cost you bandwidth

at least with letters, they can find what they are looking for easily, besides using the search engine...or if they didn\'t know the exact name of the community/blogring

:)

oh yeah, i wish you could put up a link of the main tabulas page, just like the old times...

...or maybe i just missed it?

Question: Ive tried uploading my XML Livejournal files but this is the message I get: \"Adding Existing LiveJournal Entries...
We are now adding your entries to your Tabulas from your LiveJournal backup. We will automatically attempt to find existing entries by first comparing the subjects, then taking a look at the entry.
Unknown column \'title\' in \'field list\'\" Can you please help me? Thanks!
Comment posted on August 6th, 2004 at 11:31 PM
how about a \'sort by\' function? like, ascending/decending on number of members? And maybe sort by last update status (days ago, weeks, months, etc..)
