We were finally able to track down that notorious usericon bug (usericon changes when you edit); this should now be fixed.

We also fixed up all bugs relating to your RSS feed; there were some problems with the RSS feeds not generating proper feeds when entries contained break commands.

The Community tab now takes you directly to your Communities, while the Plug-In tab takes you directly to your links page.

The issue with funky characters appearing in your weblogs.com listing ... should hopefully be resolved. We removed (what we think) are the problems there. Edit: Oops, might not of actually fixed them. They should now be fixed (hopefully).

Edit: We've also updated the Feedback Log to not include your comments in the feedback log. This didn't make much sense since the Feedback Log's primary purpose was for you to quickly view all the recent comments in your journal that you could reply to (unless you enjoy replying to yourself...)

Please let us know if there are any problems with any of these issues.

There seems to be a problem with my journal. The home page is fine but when I go to "Profile" the tag board now reads "We cannot find this user in your system. Please make sure there are no typos." Also all but one of the "Friends of" are gone. Any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks Roy.

Looks like you were viewing the profile page the 2 seconds I was uploading a new file.

Refresh the page; I was working on the profiles page.

The favorites page is not favourites.html, but favorites.html

Problem: On my homepage under SharedJournals, a new link called Community shows up. It contains two messages--each from one of my other shared journals. What is that and why is it in public view? When I went to my Control Panel to remove it, it is not listed. Que pasa?

This is a new feature we're testing; the "My Community" link will list all posts made to all communities you are a member of on one page; kind of like your friends page lists all posts by people you list as a friend.

I haven't announced it yet, but I can't get anything past ya ;D

What is the purpose of having this public? And, can we remove the link from the front page if we want to. I mean, eventually, when you get it all up and running and announced and all! :o)

Well, the concept is more for the end user; if you are subscribed to a lot of communities and you want to catch up with all the posts in all these communities at once, you can do it there.

Yes, you will be able to remove the link. it's still a feature being tested ;)

One bug for me so far: When I look at Community, look at my profile, or attempt to post in one of the communities I am in, it says that I am not in one. But when I try to rejoin one of the communities I was in, it says I'm already a member.
Comment posted on January 14th, 2004 at 09:49 PM
It's not a bug. You were denied entry into all three communities by the moderator.
Comment posted on January 14th, 2004 at 10:52 PM
Even though each had different mods and one for sure didn't know anything about removing me?
Comment posted on January 15th, 2004 at 02:19 AM
Try rejoining this communities now and asking the moderators to enable you back in. It should work nicely.

Yup, one doesn't exist anymore, and the other two didn't know about the verifying thing. Thanks!

Either they removed you from the community outright or they didn't verify you. In any case, you don't have the proper permission to post to those communities.

Thanks for the fixes to the hit logging! Any idea when Categories for Links will be working?
Thanks

Hmm.... on further testing, currently the 3 bugs only seems to affect my Calmail entry. Other entries seem fine as far as I can tell.
Comment posted on January 15th, 2004 at 02:18 AM
RAAAAAAR. Ok. I should of *finally* gotten rid of that error.

It actually had to do with entries that were also posted to communities... but glad I spent some time tracking that one down ;D

Maybe it's just me but for my tabulas, when I edit an entry, the title of the entry becomes blank....... Bug?
Comment posted on January 14th, 2004 at 01:45 PM
Hmm, looks like I spoke too soon. Those bugs on the entry page are still there.

So here are the bugs.
1) Title gets wiped out
2) Mood selection gets wiped out
3) Usericon reverts to default (a bit better than the "Select Usericon:" but not that much better).
Comment posted on January 14th, 2004 at 02:21 PM
I also just checked usericons on my end and that worked fine as well.
Comment posted on January 14th, 2004 at 02:18 PM
I still cannot replicate any of those problems.

I just edited my main post and the title remained intact. I edited one of my personal posts which contained a mood and that remained intact as well.

Is it dissappearing after you hit submit or does the data not even show up on the edit page?
Comment posted on January 14th, 2004 at 03:01 PM
It's when I go to edit an entry that the entry's title/mood/usericon all get reset to blank/blank/default. So I have to type the title in again, and change the mood and usericon back to the way it was.

Previously, before the fix, only the usericon was messing up. I also tested this on both IE and Mozilla.

Can I have permission to access your account to test this out?
Comment posted on January 14th, 2004 at 03:41 PM
Actually first, I think I noticed something else. This only happens if you try to edit the most recent entry. If you edit older entries, it's not affected.

Uh, go ahead.
Comment posted on January 14th, 2004 at 06:01 AM
I can't see any images at all here at tabulas (including usericons).
Comment posted on January 14th, 2004 at 02:16 PM
Um. Try clearing out your browser cache; looks like your hard drive filled up.

Hmm, the problems for weblogs.com still seem to be there. Still says "Dracil%27s+BlogJournal". But the usericon bug is fixed.
Comment posted on January 14th, 2004 at 01:54 AM
Hrm. Upon closer inspection, I didn't quite kill that bug. I think I killed it now, but since you already submitted ot weblogs, we probably won't know until tomorrow for sure. :/

Yay, the bug's fixed! I just did a test entry and the site name is correct now. Thanks. :)
