Some Fixes

October 7, 2003

We spent most of today upgrading the backend of a few pages on this site... some "contact" features were added into your profiles (view Preferences Tab)... you can now add in your ICQ/AIM/Yahoo/MSN information and it will display on your profile.

The current sitation is that the people who aren't logged in since yesterday are not able to log on, such as my friend Peter.

I'm now having trouble logging in. I have 4 browsers, excessive perhaps, but three of then will no longer log me in no matter how cookies are set. The fourth, Firebird, logged me in automatically. Help!!

You may want to disable autologging in from FireBird... Tabulas only allows one login session per user; you probably will not be able to remain logged in from multiple browsers at once, especially if htey use different cookies.

I had Firebird closed when I tried to log in with the other three. I have not forgotten my username and password. Even if I did, both Mozilla and Opera have them stored and I couldn't log on from those.

The browsers do not share their cookies. I believe that Netscape may share cookies with Mozilla if both are installed, but the four that I use don't.

Maybe when I reboot, the problem will be solved. I'll do that later tonight and let you know what happens.

hm just added my emails at yahoo and msn.. just wondering why isn't my email on msn isn't clickable unlike on my yahoo? still wondering :P

oh yeah.. another off topic :bigeyes: why is that everytime i click a smiley in the smiley window, the whole txt that i typed dissapears? so for now, i'm typing it manually :( and oh yeah.. i noticed.. why isn't they an underline button? there's a bold and an italic one.. but now underline? just wondering :-D

well you could just hold ctrl and click z when that happens... it will return all the text that you typed before it got accidentally deleted due to the smiley. it's kinda.. annoying though

I'm not sure. For some reasons, certain browsers are having trouble with that specific javascript... but a lot more people aren't having troubles... so I'm not sure what to say to that.

As for the underline text, text on the Internet should NEVER be underlined. Underlining is for hyperlinks, not text decoration.

well i'm using internet explorer 6 special pack 1 w/ the latest updates.. hm noticed the same thing on my friend who uses jiglypuff to.. just like mine.. maybe it's on the templates?

This is offtopic and something I really shouldn't be complaining about, but when I edit an entry, the section where I key in 'Artist', the first letter becomes small caps instead of the large caps I originally keyed in. If I don't change it when I edit, e.g. 'Dido' becomes 'dido'.

Each artist name is stored only once; it is stored as the person who originally typed it in ... unfortunately there is no real way around this :(
