Based on some of the changes we made to commenting a few days ago, we've also slightly upgraded the "Feedback Log" page ... it is now listed as "Comment Log" and is a bit more comprehensive than Feedback Log previous was. The ability to filter yourself off your comment list is optional; you can turn on filtering on a per-session basis.

The UI is a bit better now; when you hit 'delete comment,' it takes you back to the comment log rather than sitting on an empty page with just a success message.

Free users are now restricted to being able to only moderate their last 50 comments.

Paid users can moderate all their comments; there is also a 'search by username' feature that you can use to quickly sort your comments.

You can also now delete comments you've left in other journals as long as it hasnt been longer than an hour since you posted your comment. Go to your "Comment Log" and scroll down to the very bottom and there will be a link to "Comments You've Left."

hey again, is it possible to specify the height of the tag board? thanks

You can write out the HTML manually and set the height yourself.

Hey. There's something wrong with my account. It went blank. All my entries are gone. I don't know what happened. What can I do to bring them all back?

How can I edit how my comment box and the comments generated by it match the style that the rest of my tabulas uses? Are there any "class=" or "span id's", etc. that I can use in my CSS to edit the way it appears?

Thank you for your time and consideration

Hey, wazzup? :-D
I'd like to change my username, is it possible? If it's not, can I delete my account and create a new one with the username I desire? Thank you!
Comment posted on February 5th, 2004 at 03:54 PM
Yes, you can change your username. My best guess would be to hit the "Change Username" link under the Preferences tab.

Nah, it had something to do with filtering people who have added you as a friend. All that I get there 'Your Friends - These are peoplewhojm youve listed as friends', nothing else
Comment posted on February 5th, 2004 at 02:38 AM
Filtering occurs on that page ... select the "View Friends Of" option on the left; you have to manually filter each user.

EIther that or I'm not sure what you're asking.

Hi!

Tabulas doesn't send me email notifications when my journal receives comments. The send email notification setting is on but no alerts come in. What's wrong?
Comment posted on February 4th, 2004 at 11:13 AM
I'm guessing your mail server is blocking the e-mails from Tabulas thinking they are spam; we've had no reported other issues of e-mails not being sent out.

yeah..how can i add a pic after my name if the entry? and why is the spacing of my text too crowded? if there something wrong with the settings or something?
Comment posted on February 4th, 2004 at 08:04 AM
Look at usericons under Styles.

If you feel the text is too crowded, set the spacing to be a higher number in your stylesheet.

oh, and does [lt]!--linkroll--[gt] show ALL the links, or is there a switch?
Comment posted on February 5th, 2004 at 01:29 AM
Yes. There have been no changings to the styling/templating engines to the site; all errors are your own.

Is there any way to let non-Tabulas friends view my FO entries? Like maybe the ability to log in to read those entries on a designate username/password created by the owner? If not, I'm suggesting it as a paid feature?
Comment posted on February 3rd, 2004 at 11:38 AM
Why not just get your friends to register?
Comment posted on February 3rd, 2004 at 01:12 PM
Because they wouldn't use it, nor would they pay for it. I'd rather find people who'd pay.
Comment posted on February 3rd, 2004 at 02:55 PM
Why not just register another account and add it as a 'friend' and give that username's user/pass to your friends?

Ideally they would sign up; privacy of the friends-only posts can only be guaranteed as long as I keep the privacy levels to registered users.

hey roy, is there a variable to use to add in the name of the user visiting your tabulas? i know we have for the particular page you are visiting, but I want it the other way. Is it possible? It seems like the documentation is telling me that it is supposed to be but that doesn't seem to be working for me?
Comment posted on February 2nd, 2004 at 12:32 AM
No there isn't.
Comment posted on February 1st, 2004 at 11:06 PM
ok it stripped out the html.. ! is for displaying the username of the page you are on... is there one for displaying the name of the user visiting? like in the tagboard?

i was just templating my tabulas site roy when i noticed that the date is output nested in a div, could you remove that div please, especially for my site?

Comment posted on February 1st, 2004 at 10:32 PM
also, the tagboard output needs some tiding up ;)
Comment posted on February 2nd, 2004 at 01:13 AM
A lot of things need tidying up :(

As for your date question, I can't change it yet. I'm still planning on revamping the whole templating engine and it's not a matter of simply deleting a line of code right now :/

Okie...i knew i made no sense b4 but lemme try to explain it better...you know how when you write in your journal and someone wants to leave a comment...your link says "Leave A Comment" and when comments have been made it says "(#) Comments" well...i accidentally switched those when i was trying to personalize it...i think that makes more sense....?¿?¿
Comment posted on February 1st, 2004 at 07:17 PM
So what's the problem then? Switch it back.

Hey.. is there a way to make my whole journal friends only? or do I have to FO all of my entries?
Comment posted on February 1st, 2004 at 07:08 PM
Yes you have to FO your journal. If you have categories, you can set a privacy status override on your categories w/o having to edit your entries.
Comment posted on February 2nd, 2004 at 09:48 PM
But how can I FO my old entries? I can only find out how to do it ti future entries.
Comment posted on February 3rd, 2004 at 12:05 AM
Edit each entry.
